Ages

Children as young as 3 are invited to take lessons.  The optimal time to start a musical instrument is between 3 and 5 years old.  If they aren't yet ready for private lessons they may attend group classes to start.  In some cases, lessons may be split up into two 15 minute lessons a week if it seems appropriate.

Location

Heather Gardner Studio in West Philadelphia is located near the 52nd st. stop on the el.

Lessons in New York City are taught at the Balance Arts Center in mid-town Manhattan

On-line lessons are an option, especially due to Covid quarantine or other illness.

Cancellation

Lessons canceled with 24 hours notice may be made up in the same month.  Cancellations of less than 24 hours will not be made up and students will be charged for the lesson.

Lessons canceled by the teacher for any reason will be made up.
